Blanca Iris Galarza

Blanca Iris Galarza, age 73, passed away on January 23, 2026, after a brave battle with cancer.

She was born on March 11, 1952, in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, to Angel Dario and Amelia Galarza. Throughout her life, Blanca Iris devoted herself to serving others. She worked for many years as a state case worker, where she dedicated her time, compassion, and energy to helping people in need and advocating for those facing difficult circumstances.

Blanca Iris Galarza is survived by her four loving children, Luis, Ivette, Reynaldo, and Melanie; her seven grandchildren; and her great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her six sisters and four brothers. She was preceded in death by her parents, Angel Dario and Amelia Galarza.

She will be remembered for her deep devotion to God and for sharing His love and light with everyone she encountered. She had a genuine love for people, which she showed through constant acts of kindness—always willing to lend a helping hand, even to strangers. She was an inspiration to those around her and a joy to be around. Her humor and warmth filled rooms with laughter, and her presence brought comfort and happiness to family and friends alike.

She found great peace in reading her Bible and took strength and comfort in the word of God, which guided her life and faith.

Blanca Iris Galarza, de 73 años de edad, falleció el 23 de enero de 2026, después de una valiente batalla contra el cáncer.

Nació el 11 de marzo de 1952 en San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, hija de Ángel Darío y Amelia Galarza. A lo largo de su vida, Blanca Iris se dedicó al servicio de los demás. Trabajó durante muchos años como trabajadora social del estado, donde entregó su tiempo, compasión y esfuerzo para ayudar a personas necesitadas y defender a quienes atravesaban momentos difíciles.

Le sobreviven sus cuatro amados hijos, Luis, Ivette, Reynaldo y Melanie; sus siete nietos; y sus bisnietos. También le sobreviven sus seis hermanas y cuatro hermanos. Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, Ángel Darío y Amelia Galarza.

Blanca Iris será recordada por su profunda devoción a Dios y por compartir Su amor y Su luz con todas las personas que conoció. Tenía un amor genuino por la gente, el cual demostraba constantemente con actos de bondad, siempre dispuesta a tender una mano amiga, incluso a desconocidos. Fue una inspiración para quienes la rodeaban y una verdadera alegría estar en su compañía. Su sentido del humor y su calidez llenaban de risas a su familia y amigos, y su presencia brindaba consuelo y felicidad.

Encontraba gran paz en la lectura de la Biblia y hallaba fortaleza y consuelo en la palabra de Dios, la cual guió su vida y su fe.
